Sisterhood

Sisterhood is an integral and active part of synagogue life at CBI. You can find sisterhood women in the CBI building year-round contributing their time and energy for the benefit of CBI. Sisterhood is a participating member of the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism.

Sistehood

Sisterhood hosts an annual community wide Chanukah party, prepares Mislaoch Manot (gifts and cards for Purim) and supports the religious school by hosting holidays in the classroom and special dinners and onegs for the religious school Shabbat services.

Each year, sisterhood hosts a casual, fun pledge dinner, runs the Judaica store, raises money for various charities and sends notes of condolence to its members.

Without sisterhood, the award winning library at CBI would not exist. Each year, sisterhood funds the library including the staff, equipment, books, programs and films.

As an ongoing fundraiser, sisterhood bakes and sells challah for Shabbat. Each loaf, plain or raisin, costs $6.

We are always looking for enthusiastic and creative women to help us build our programs and support our synagogue. We welcome you—please join us. For more information, please email emilie.kovit-meyer@cbirumson.org.
